Coaching Dog

The DCA 2026 Conformation Judge Election took place between June 25 and July 23, 2024. 489 members (61.9%) including 4 paper ballots (of 12) voted in the election. The results are: Patricia Trotter will judge Breed, Jr. Showmanship and Class Bitches. Dianne Wright will judge Class Dogs and Non Regular classes. DCA 2026 will be held at the Marriott Meadowview Resort in Kingsport, TN April 30 – May 7, 2026. Thank you to all the members who participated in the election.

Dals are delightful and intelligent companions, VERY affectionate, excellent family dogs if raised properly, clean in the house, have very little doggy odor, and are generally quite easy to housetrain.

A rescue Dal, Dawg, learned to ride horses over jumps. She also earned her CDX and was high in trial at an all breed obedience show. She was invited to perform at the Washington Monument for a program called Horses in the Park and a horse event at the Vint Hill Army base in VA.
